Just a quick note for me -- and anyone else out there -- The location of the keyring in gnome2 is in ~/gnome2/keyrings. And if you forget your keyring password then the easy way to start all over with a new keyring is:
rm ~/.gnome2/keyrings/default.keyring

I found your helpful pointer to remove keyring, but on my Debian jessie distro on my raspberry pi B+ the keyring location is ~/.local/shared/keyrings/Default_keyring.keyring. Placing note here to help others likewise searching.
